• To take part in this competition you need to be a registered SCF member. It does not matter how long you have been registered or how many posts you have made. Even if you just signed up and have never posted you can take part in the competition.
• The competition will be managed by - and the winner will be chosen by the SCF Team personnell.
• The competition requires one to make a logo for the (tentatively named) SketchUcation 3D Basecamp event.
• The competition prize is one full year subscription to Form Fonts 3D.
• There will be only one winner.

Interviews

This month we have five interviews.
We also had an interview scheduled with Fred Abler of Form Fonts. With the upcoming AIA convention Fred Abler was unable to do the interview with us this month. We have the interview scheduled for later this Summer.
And Chris Phillips (author of the plug-ins SketchyPhysics, SketchyFFD (Free Form Deformation) and SketchyBevel, among others) was originally also planned for an interview this month.
Due to time and space shortage we could not include them this month.

Let's start off with the interview with Google's Aidan Chopra and get the scoop on the latest 3D Basecamp 2008 news as well as finally some news about the next version of SketchUp, v7.

Aidan Chopra

Aidan Chopra is Product Evangelist at Google SketchUp and author of the highly acclaimed Wiley Publishing title 'SketchUp for Dummies'.

I asked Aidan to do an interview with CatchUp and talk a little about 3D Basecamp also. Contrary to the other interviews however, I did not edit in or out any grammar misspellings - as Google is very strict about what is written by what they call 'official press-type interviews'. Not that I could find any misspellings anyway... ;o)
